about

As a therapist, I strive to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate the complexities of their lives. Whether someone is seeking support during a time of crisis or exploring long-standing patterns and questions, I approach the therapeutic process with curiosity, warmth, and respect. I believe meaningful change happens through deep understanding, compassionate connection, and collaborative work.

I am especially passionate about supporting women as they navigate the many roles they hold—as students, professionals, parents, and partners. My practice offers a safe and empowering space for women to explore their ideas, vulnerabilities, and strengths while seeking greater balance and fulfillment. For women who are parents or planning to become one, I provide specialized support for the emotional challenges that can arise—including fertility and preconception concerns, as well as pre- and postpartum anxiety and depression. I also have advanced training in parent-infant psychotherapy, supporting the early bond between caregiver and baby, and helping parents navigate the emotional transitions of early parenthood.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, I moved to the United States as a teenager to attend the United World College in New Mexico (UWC-USA), a school dedicated to fostering peace, cross-cultural understanding, and global citizenship. I earned a dual degree in Psychology and Fine Arts from Cornell University, followed by a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Graduate Center, CUNY. Over the past two decades, I have worked as a supervising psychologist in various New York City hospitals and served as a consultant to schools and organizations.

Outside of my clinical work, I find joy in creative expression—painting, photography, and etching—and I enjoy teaching art to children. My artwork has been exhibited in New York, Rhode Island, and Santo Domingo.
